Afterparty LUST*VOLL

As per usual there will not only be nice movies to watch at the Lust*streifen Film Festival but also nice music to dance to. The Afterparty will take place at the HUMBUG Club just across the Street of the „Neues Kino“. Get ready for queer excellence behind the Decks with yung_womb from „SLIC UNIT“ (DE) toasty tunes from BBYBRT (DE) and with the Swiss Ballroom Legend EV.E (CH) and nice audioreactive visuals by Agnes & Fiona.

yung_womb is a DJ and performer from Hamburg. She is part of SLIC Unit, a DJ network, which she co-founded in 2020. In her club sets she plays us mercilessly but lovingly against the wall with baile funk, latin bass, afro club and house challenging all our senses with the sweaty sounds of the diaspora. It's difficult not to get sucked in by her performances and selection helping us to reconnect our minds with our culos.

bbybrt (she/they) lives in Essen and has been a dj since 2021. Her sets are fast and fun, sometimes they don’t take themselves too seriously. Often the tracks range from hardclub, to neo-perrero, baile funk and hyperpop. While having several radio features and working often in theatre and performance context, bbybrt established a name last year in the experimental club scene in Istanbul.

EV.E  unfortunately had to cancel, so we're happy to anounce:

Calicá
Arianna Ramírez aka Calicá is a Colombian Dj based in Basel (Kassette Rosa).
Normally mixing from her Latin roots to more breakbeat revolutions.
Organic sounds and fresh beats are her passion, and all that can make
hips move. (Electrocumbia/Latin tech house/breakbeat)

Audioreactive visuals - Curing the yellow fever

For far too long, East Asian and Southeast Asian women have endured being "othered," reduced to sexual objects, and unfairly characterized as obedient or submissive. These stereotypes have fueled the fetishization of Asian women, perpetuating harmful narratives.

Comments about Asian women's physical features and explicit remarks have created an atmosphere in which people feel entitled to comment on their bodies. This continuous scrutiny, despite appearing innocuous on the surface, results in a feeling of being fetishized.
This fetishization, rooted in centuries of colonialism and imperial conquest, reflects the enduring legacy of white supremacy.
Using collected footage of porn films in which these very stereotypes are visible and often directed from the male gaze, we try to break, question and deconstruct this toxic view with a new abstract narrative.
