In the Intermediate workshop, we’ll introduce you to the basics of Aibunawa-inspired rope play. Aibunawa means “caressing rope,” and it involves using rope to bring people closer together. We’ll focus on this exciting interaction and will include very little technical instruction.

Participants will work in pairs, so you must register with another person. Switching partners is allowed.

Technical prerequisites:
- Single-column tie
- Double-column tie
- Basic frictions
- Up-line lock-off

What to bring:
- 4–6 ropes (hemp or jute, 8–10 metres each)
- Clothing that you feel comfortable in and that allows for “exposing”
- Optional: Notebook and pen (we will not provide any)
